About Us

SEI

Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) is an international non-profit research and policy organisation that aims to bridge science and policy while addressing environment and development challenges. SEI’s work spans climate, water, air, and land-use issues, and integrates evidence and perspectives on governance, the economy, gender and human health. SEI is a global organisation with ten offices in Asia, Africa, Europe, North and South America (see details here).

SEI’s work in evidence synthesis began in 2016 after it took over the hosting of the Mistra EviEM project (www.eviem.se/en). Since then, SEI has expanded its program of evidence synthesis into a variety of topics relevant to the environment and development.

The SEI CEE Centre was established in January 2019. The Centre is coordinated by Neal Haddaway and Biljana Macura, who both have extensive experience in the conduct of quantitative and qualitative evidence syntheses and the development of evidence synthesis methodology.
