Comparison of methodologies for the monitoring and surveillance of terrestrial vegetation

Please note: this review has now been discontinued.

What is the aim of the review?
To examine how current terrestrial vegetation monitoring and surveillance methods compare in their ability to reliably assess state and/or magnitude, direction and rate of change in state. A secondary question will be addressed as follows: "Are similarities and differences in the power of monitoring and surveillance methods to assess state and/or magnitude, direction and rate of change in state consistent across spatial scale, temporal scale, geographical area, assemblage characteristics, observer, type of question addressed and resources available?"
