What is the aim of the review?
To address the following primary questions -

• Have bird numbers increased following restoration efforts in salt marshes?
• Do plant communities change in a manner consistent with greater bird use?
  

And, secondarily -

• What influence do various interventions have on the development of habitat suitable for saltmarsh birds?
• What changes in vegetation types are associated with specific restoration interventions?
• What plant community compositions are associated with bird use in salt marshes?
• How does marsh change depend on time since intervention?
• there geographic differences in the responses of the avian community to restoration?
